PubMed is a website that compiles scientific journals into one electronic database. It can be reached at www.pubmed.com. It is constantly updated, and archives some of the most well-known and respected journals across the world, incuding the Journal of American Medicine, Psychology Today, The Journal of Tropical Diseases, and countless others.
Some advantages to PubMed:
1. Many of the articles are free.
2. The searches yield related articles that condenses your research, making it faster and easier.
3. Even if some of the articles are only available for purchase, it is highly likely that Mason's E-Journal files have them. All you have to do it search for it (available on to college students) and it is still free for you.
Some Disadvantages to PubMed:
1. Site can at times be difficult to navigate
2. With newer research topics, most of the articles are not free
3. Occaisonally articles found in your search are not relevant to your research question.
